EADS CORP25 Radio Network Gains System Acceptance from Royal Canadian Mounted Police “O” Division

Today EADS Defence & Security announced system acceptance of its COR P25 digital, trunked land mobile radio system by the “O” Division of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), validating that the delivered Project 25 (P25)-based public safety radio network fulfills the operational requirements of the RCMP.

In January of this year, EADS Defence & Security announced that it had been awarded the contract for deployment of its CORP25 digital radio communications network to service the RCMP “O” Division’s critical communications requirements in the province of Ontario, Canada. The contract called for the implementation of a state-of-the-art, open-standard P25 IP-based digital public safety radio communication network along with command and control centers to be expanded across Ontario as the new Central Region Operation Communication System.
