EADS Defence & Security and Belgacom sign a new maintenance contract with the A.S.T.R.I.D. operator

The EADS-Belgacom consortium has signed a new contract with the national operator A.S.T.R.I.D. for the maintenance of the TETRA secure radio-communications network, provincial command and control centres and the IT infrastructure. This contract is part of the continuity of service that the consortium has been providing since this network was created in Belgium in 1998. The contract will run for a minimum of 5 years, with an 8-year extension option, and amounts to around € 14 million per year.
