Engineering Graduate Scheme

Introduction

As an EADS DS Engineering graduate you will be part of a carefully selected group to undertake a two-year fast track development programme. You will be involved in a wide variety of projects, management tasks and challenges designed to stretch your knowledge, develop your skills and widen your field of expertise. The EADS DS UK engineering graduate scheme also offers a structured approach to personalised feedback and career development via a mixture of experience and sponsorship to achieve professional qualifications.

Your First Week at EADS

On your first day you will pass through the EADS induction process. For the rest of your first week you will carry out a mini-rotation scheme to give you a quick overview of a number of parts of the business before settling in to your first rotation.

First Year

Your first year as an Engineering Graduate will involve placements in various parts of the company working on a variety of projects. Generally this will be in the form of four 3-month placements but in such a diverse and fast paced environment plans are likely to change and you may rotate positions more or less frequently. The scheme is flexible and takes your feedback and desires into account, for example if you have a particular interest in an area of work one of your rotations can be arranged in a relevant project/area.

Second Year

During your second year you will generally take on a single placement within a project. This placement will be discussed with you, taking into account your desires and experiences you have had in your first year placements.
