Intrusion Detection
Intrusion detection can be described as the process of monitoring systems and analysing the events occurring for signs of intrusions. These may be defined as attempts to compromise the confidentiality, integrity and availability, or to bypass the security mechanisms of the Communication Information System. Intrusion Detection Systems are software and hardware products that automate this process. The “best-of-breed” intrusion detection and prevention solution has been developed by EADS in partnership with McAfee and Micromuse.
Secure Infrastructure Integration and Management
EADS Defence and Security Systems has designed, built and installed the voice and data solution for the Skynet 5 communications infrastructure. It is based on predominantly commercial off the shelf (COTS) equipment and utilises ATM links over Satellite at 3 fixed sites, 38 Maritime platforms and 45 REACHER Deployable Ground stations. The programme incorporates multiple and varied sites and security levels.
