Single Point Fill Crypto Key Management Solution

Single Point Fill (SPF) key management system is designed for and known as the Aircraft Crypto Variable Management Unit (ACVMU) on the Eurofighter Typhoon programme. Single Point Fill was developed in order to provide platforms with:

• Minimum user intervention on a mission by mission basis
• Improved operational response time
• Lower through life costs
• Increased operational effectiveness.

With SPF, both current and future mission key material can be pre-loaded onto a platform in a single operation through a single device. SPF resides on the platform securely managing the key material and automatically reloading cryptographic equipment before each mission. The Single Point Fill system securely retains the key material after the platform is “stood down” ensuring that key material is instantly available for the next mission, thus minimizing mission preparation time. SPF adheres to all national security policies with respect to the maintenance of key material. The capability of SPF will revolutionize platform management and has wider utility in the Land, Maritime and static environments where multiple cryptos are in use.
