Tyne & Wear Fire and Civil Defence Authority
EADS DS UK have rolled out a new WAN/LAN infrastructure to Tyne & Wear Fire and Civil Defence Authority. This has replaced an eight year old legacy system for one of the country’s largest fire and rescue services. The project will ensure that data services will operate faster, facilitate introduction of new applications and provide greater network resilience. The new system will also enable greater use of video-conferencing facilities.
Having identified smooth transition from old to new services as being critical to the project, EADS have worked closely with the Authority’s communications and procurement teams to ensure success
